Justin Kesner |
Justin Kesner, Senior Vice President of Amity’s Legal Professional Liability Division, leads a team of brokers and specialists in the lawyers professional liability industry.
Justin joined Amity in 2008 with an interest in LPL business as it was always his plan to become an attorney. After two years of learning the coverages, scope of risks, and insurers in the market, Justin was offered the divisions management role and an equity interest in the company. Since 2010, Amity’s LPL business has grown more than four times due to his teams servicing skills and goals to expand their footprint by adding new clients. Justin changed Amity’s traditional “retail only” approach to a new model, adding wholesale business to Amity’s offerings which allows other brokers and agents to utilize his teams expertise and exclusive insurers. Additionally, Justin has facilitated four LPL acquisitions for Amity, some of which brought more exclusive programs into New England as well as new states. Most recently, Amity’s LPL division has acquired the NH Bar Associations Insurance Agency and is exclusively endorsed by the NHBA. For those with a presence in the industry, they know being a state bar endorsed agent is the pinnacle of this arena. Justin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from The University of Arizona in Tucson. While a college student, he was an active volunteer with a number of projects, including the Ronald McDonald House, and continues to donate his time to philanthropic organizations in the Great Boston area to this day. A resident of Milton, MA, Justin is proud to make mention of his family and their love for traveling. |
Tesh Patel |
Tesh Patel, SVP Amity Casualty Lines division out of Austin, TX, manages our broker and specialist relationships in the Central and Western United States focusing on lawyer professional liability insurance.
Tesh began his insurance career in 2001 as an underwriter with AAA Southern California while living and working in Southern California. He progressed within the industry in various sales and product management roles with both AAA and Farmers/Zurich. His career eventually led him to Austin, TX. Over the last decade, Tesh has held executive leadership roles specifically focused on Lawyers Professional Liability Insurance. Those roles include product development with a nationally recognized MGA and as a Market Manager with Berkshire Hathaway’s – Attorney Protective program. Tesh joined Amity Insurance in 2018 to help expand Amity’s Wholesale brokerage services in the Central and Western United States. His experience at both the carrier and agency level allows him to bring a unique perspective to finding coverage solutions. Tesh graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a B.B.A. in Operations Management. While attending he also played 2 years NCAA tennis. He still resides in Austin, TX with his wife and two young daughters, and enjoys tennis as often as possible. |
Ray Fillis |
Ray Fillis, Customer Service Representative for the Legal Professional Liability Division, and is responsible for the submission and process of renewal application including quotes to carriers and attorneys.
Ray’s industry experience prior to joining Amity includes tenure at Arbella Insurance. A resident of Whitman, MA, Ray makes his home with his wife Denise and their two children. |
Maureen Higgins |
Maureen, originally from South Boston, attended Johnson and Wales in Providence RI. She is the “next generation” insurance professional for the Legal Professional Liability Division. She is responsible for day-to-day customer support, covering a wide range of service.
Her insurance career started at Amity in 2014, anxious to learn the insurance business from the ground up. She is a licensed insurance broker and diligently working toward additional designations and professional credentials. |
Eryn Njoroge |
Eryn Njoroge, Customer Service Representative, is responsible for reviewing and issuing policies and endorsements, working within the Legal Professional Liability Division.
Eryn makes her home in Brockton, MA with her husband Dan and their daughters Sophia and Anna. She is an active volunteer at her daughter’s school. |
